hello again! welcome to my second post of the day. the stars aligned and in addition to moments inked tips, it's also my turn for papertrey ink make it monday. this time i'm sharing ways to incorporate money gifts into the design of your card. cash is a great gift to give for many occasions, but just putting it inside a card can be a little boring, so i like to come up with ways to make it more fun and personal.
as i mention in the video, my aunt has given my girls money for christmas and recently began presenting it to them in cute ways thanks to money origami, which got me thinking about how i could incorporate some fun money folds into card designs.
this shirt fold fit the bill perfectly (lol!) and is really easy to make - i do it twice in the video just in case!
rolling a bill is another easy trick - origami light, if you will! and a very welcome diploma.
i've also seen rolled bills turned into candles for a birthday card. a great idea for another occasion!
if origami isn't your thing, how about a wallet card? i've done this one many times before and it's super fun and personalized - literally!
a paper version of the real thing...
complete with a business card sized insert!
and of course, you're not limited to brown for boys...
girls use wallets too!

p.s. one more tip: if you've folded your money so much trying new folds that the bill becomes a creased mess or if you've rolled a bill that you want to lay flat again, simply run it under water and smooth it out to dry!
