we've made it to day five of the countdown - new papertrey ink stamps, including give me a hand, will be available tomorrow! but first, i have paired the hands and the hip, hip, hooray! sentiment from the set with a few happy birthday sentiments from my stash for a round up of birthday cards. specifically, hip, hip, hooray! happy birthday cards! first up, another take on the silhouette look, similar to the one i created on day two. this time, i used ombre builders to create the background - several images in that set are perfect for this look! you can change the color to something more boyish for a boy or to the recipient's favorite color to make it more personal. lots of possibilities for such a fun and easy look. not only that, my girls gave it their teen girl stamp of approval!
next up, a trio of hands, stamped directly onto the card front, paired with happy birthday from the wet paint stamps and dies. in order to line the hands up properly, i masked off where the grey strip of cardstock would go and stamped the sleeves. next i masked of each sleeve and stamped the arms into them, all at slightly staggered heights for interest. the jewelry is stamped in silver, embossed in clear. this is kind of the happy birthday version of yesterday's peace card - and another fun teen approved birthday card!
and last, i created a little birthday scene. streamers from birthday style set the stage for a pair of hands to offer up a washi tape gift topped with one of the bows from merry kiss-mas! hip, hip, hooray! happy birthday! all three cards were so much fun to put together, especially this one. actually, give me a hand is a great set for fun stamping. the combinations of hand signs, the sleeves and jewelry, the ability to make the hands hold things - fun, fun, and more fun! i hope you've enjoyed the countdown - i'll try to be back with a bonus post tomorrow, but i don't have it done yet, so we'll see. until then, be sure to visit nichole for links to one last group post - you'll love it to pieces! lizzie and melissa have posts up too. are you making a list and checking it twice? i am!
