finally, i made it - welcome to day two of the papertrey ink countdown to new stamps, and my new set, give me a hand! i was inspired to design this set from a few different images in my world, the main one being an inspirational mural i used to drive by a lot. i must have changed my path or it was painted over, because i haven't noticed it in a while, but it was hands in silhouette raised in the air as if cheering, including love and peace signs. i always thought the images would make a great card, and so here we are. in honor of that inspiration mural, i have two silhouette cards to share. first up, hands stamped in black on a blue watercolor paper from betsy's beautiful brushstrokes paper collection. the result is better than clean and simple - it's cool and simple! and a great way to say yay!
this second one takes the silhouette idea a step further, stamping the hands in color. a little more planning is necessary to space out the hands and choose colors, but the outcome is bright, happy, and fun - another great way to say hooray! i designed the hands with long arms to give you the versatility to use them alone or with the cuffs like i did yesterday. used without, you can stamp them off the edge of your project in different heights for interest. when used with the cuffs, you can mask at the edge of the cuff for the perfect arm length or stamp the cuff right over the arm if your color is dark enough. of course the die cuts give even more options, but i'll save that for another day. again, i'm sorry for being late, but i hope the projects were worth the wait. i'm sure you've made the rounds by now, but if you've been as busy as me, head over to nichole for all the latest and greatest info, plus posts from these girls: meliss, dawn, heather, erin, lizzy, and melissa. lotsa great stuff!!
see you tomorrow...
