after a busy christmas season, i find myself stuck for ideas when i sit down to play. this card was for a swap with my local stamp club--we had to incorporate a bookmark into our design. i had all these stamps around my desk, but just couldn't get started, so i went back to the su! mini catalog and the samples that made me want the stamps. finally, a beginning--i copied elements from a sample i really liked and then took off from there! the bookmark fits into a pocket inside the card which could also hold a gift card to go with it.
we also do monthly trading cards and after a lot of staring at blank paper, here are two that i came up with...
i really like the bird one. i fell in love with the branch and flower from impressrubberstamps.com--the flower is mounted on the end. it's been sitting on my desk waiting for it's moment for a while now. the little bird is inkadinkado and pratically jumped off the shelf at michael's and onto the branch! and although the design of the other card is not one of my best, i love the colors and images (all su!) and i'm just happy to be back at my desk creating for fun!
